WORSHIP ARTS

There are several different serving opportunities within the Worship Arts ministry

WORSHIP LEADERS

  • The on stage worship leadership team helps lead worship vocally and sing at both the contemporary and traditional service. Musical and/or singing experience is required and reading music is a plus!

PRAISE BAND

  • Praise band members help lead worship musically at the contemporary service with their vocals and/or their instruments. Typically we have guitar, drums, electric guitar, bass, keyboard and piano, but are always open to new instruments joining the band!

GOOD NEWS CHOIR

  • The combined choirs continue to present special music on the first Sunday of each month and for special services such as Maundy Thursday, Easter, Christmas, and occasionally at other events.

  • Rehearsals are Thursday afternoons at 3:30pm or Thursday nights at 7:00pm.

ENSEMBLES

  • We also have ensembles, and our very own group "Remnant" who sing regularly.

THE BELLS OF THE SIERRA

  • The hand bell program rehearses on Thursday evenings from 5:15pm-6:30pm and prepares musical offerings for the 9:00 service and special occasions. The choir has 12 members.

SLAVES

  • SLAVEs stands for SIERRA Lighting Audio Video Entourage, and involves everything from lighting to sound mixing to Media Shout to video. Members of the SLAVE team are responsible for all the technical aspects of a Sunday morning.  Experience with computers and/or sound board mixing is helpful when considering this ministry.  Anyone is welcome to try it out on Wednesday Night practices at 7:15pm.

  • Drama: We use various sketches in worship as needed on Sunday mornings. Being a part of the drama ministry will allow you to put your theatrical gifts to use in helping to highlight the morning’s message or lead people into worship.  Currently, we are looking for someone to lead and devise a team.
